The Night Butterfly
For the past few months I have been working on a collaborative project with Wesley Kim, Tom Suzumoto and the renowned artist Janet Austin. With just having a small model made by Janet we worked through as many designs as we could to make a structurally sound 9 foot tall leaf. Then we spent 2 weeks fabricating the sculpture and designing appropriate fastening systems. We just finished the install this last weekend. There will be a ceremony on Sunday June 29th at 6pm at the Evanston art center to congratulate the artist.
